  Tips & Hints

Selecting Your Photograph

  •  Images should ideally be frontal shots and not profiles.

  •  Head or head and shoulders shots work best.

  •  We recommend that no more than two people are featured on any one gift.

  •  Where there are two people in the shot, the people should be close
together and not apart. We are unable to offer any image manipulation
services to bring the people on submitted images closer together.

  •  Images can be colour or black and white.

  •  We are unable to produce gifts from photographic prints, but we can accept
     scanned images.

  •  It is best to leave the background in the photo. We will always reframe the
shot when necessary to cut out background and to concentrate on the subject.

  •  The contrast in the photo should be well balanced as the lighter areas get
lighter and the darker areas get darker. This can mean a face, for example,
with one side in the shadow, will not come out as well as one with even
     contrast across the face.
