8 creative ways to display photo books in your home

So, you’ve created a few photo books and now you’re wondering what to do with them. Sure, you could leave them on the coffee table or hide them away on a dusty book shelf, but then you won’t really be making the most out of them. We’ve got eight unique tips for creatively displaying your photo books that will look great in your home and put your moments in pride of place.

Create a series

When you create your photo books, print the spines or covers with the same text and format to create a sort of series. For example: ‘New York 2018’, ‘Berlin 2017’. Then when they’re lined up on the shelf it will be easy to see what you’re looking at and it will look tidy in your home.

We’ve all seen those amazing book shelves on Pinterest that are sorted by a colour code. Well it’s not difficult to create your own and immediately give your home a modern, stylish vibe. Simply group your photo books into colours. They don’t have to be exactly the same, just similar tones and shades and then line them up on the book shelf in order. The more photo books you have, the more striking the display will be so you could also mix in actual reading books to bulk out the collection.

Design tip: Organise your photo books with a colour code. For example, your summer holiday books could all be yellow, parties blue and anything Christmas-themed red. Use a photo on the cover in that colour.

Invest in invisible shelving

Hanging some invisible shelving in your home stacked with your photo books will create the illusion of floating books and instantly brighten up your living space. Plus, they’ll save space and avoid you covering any surfaces with photo books.
