After a holiday, our phones and cameras are always full to the brim with photos from every magical moment. We’ve put together six creative ways to bring those snaps to life using our mosaic grid.

1. Colour Blocks

Colour blocks are a great way to add (you guessed it) a colour pop to more neutral rooms. Make yours more personal by matching your photos together by colour – like lush green forests, or the warm glow of sunsets.

2. Create a Gradient

Not satisfied with one colour? Try creating a gradient across your mosaic by using photos that create a gradual shift in tone. There are plenty of different ways to approach this – like moving from day to night, or shifting from green to blue. Have a play around and see what works best with the photos you have. .

3. Play With Textures

Photos aren’t only about colour, but texture too. Try bunching photos of a similar texture together. Metal, wood, fabric, and sand together create a striking effect. Plus, it’s a great way to make use of all those oh-so-similar shots that fill our albums.

4. Celebrate a Moment

Sometimes there are moments on a trip that one photo can never quite do justice – and that’s where a mosaic is perfect. Fills yours with snaps from your favourite holiday moments to relive the whole event at once.

5. Pop Art

If you’re after more of a statement piece, give your mosaic the Andy Warhol treatment. Use the same photo but apply a different filter to each. You could go for a few subtle tints, or push the boat out by going big, bold, and brash.

6. Tell A Story

Tell the story of your trip by sorting photos in chronological order. You could start with shots at the airport and then show photos of each day. Or, if there was a particularly memorable part of your trip, tell the story of an individual day instead.

Create your own mosaic wall art

Of course, there are plenty of other great ways to make the most of mosaic wall art. So if you’ve got any great ideas of your own, be sure to share them in the comments section.
