Based on your input and feedback, we have improved the creator tool again! We are now at version 8.1 of the Windows program. The updated creator tool is even easier and more fun to use! What’s new or improved?
Version 8.1 of our creator tool now supports high resolution displays. As a result of this improvement, we have made some other adjustments. For example, the Ribbon takes on the look and feel your Windows program, so there are subtle differences between Vista, Windows 7 and 8/8.1. Below is an example (Windows 7) from the home screen in version 8.0 compared to version 8.1.
By popular demand, we now have an empty photo book by default. This means that when you start a photo book, there are no layouts, photo frames or text boxes on the pages. If you would prefer to have these formats, go to ‘Options > Settings > General’ and uncheck the new settings.
In version 8.1 of the photo gallery, there are now more options for sorting your photos. For example, you can sort photos by orientation and you can sort by three different dates:
-Photo date: the date the picture was taken (added by most cameras to the file)
-File date: the date that Windows creates when a file is copied
-Date modified: the date the photo was last changed
We have also made many other minor updates to the program to make it even more user-friendly. When you open the creator tool, you will be automatically notified to update to version 8.1. After this mandatory update, you can continue with creating your product and benefit from the new improvements!
